As it is known, today, May 22, 2023, the 18th session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum is being held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. In the opening part of the 18th session of this Forum, has spoken Zhang Ming, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and first of all, he thanked the leadership of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for successfully holding the conference.
Continuing his speech, Zhang Ming, the Secretary General of the SCO, emphasized that this organization has managed to become an important forum for dialogue among member states during its 22 years of activities, and today, the SCO has attracted the attention of a wide range of countries around the world.
Zhang Ming expressed that the SCO Forum as a constituent structure of the SCO plays a key role in strengthening and developing the activities of the Organization. During the 18 years of its existence, the SCO Forum has managed to become a reliable forum for consultants and analysts of the member states. Within the framework of the SCO Forum, the analysts and experts of the member states analyze and discuss the pressing issues of the modern world agenda and offer useful recommendations for the protection and protection of the interests of the member states.
The General Secretary of the SCO emphasized that the situation in the world has become complicated, and geopolitical games in the region and the world are growing. In addition, non-traditional threats and threats have made the stability and security of states vulnerable. This situation forces the member states, especially the intellectual centers of the SCO Forum, to do more to prevent new dangers and threats and ensure sustainable development in the SCO basin.
